    Melanotan II

PepPal is a research assistant. All information is provided for educational and research purposes only and is not medical advice. Peptides discussed are not approved for human consumption unless prescribed by a licensed medical professional.

    Overview

Melanotan II is a synthetic analog of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). It is researched for its effects on skin pigmentation, sexual function, and appetite suppression.

    Mechanism of Action

MT-2 is a non-selective agonist of melanocortin receptors (MC1R through MC5R). Activation of MC1R stimulates melanogenesis (tanning), while MC4R activation affects sexual arousal and appetite.

    Research Contexts

Skin pigmentation • UV protection research • Sexual dysfunction • Appetite modulation

    Dosing (PepPal Protocol)

PepPal only publishes dosing from our vetted protocol PDFs. For peptides without an official PepPal protocol, see the Protocols page.

We don't have an official PepPal protocol for this peptide yet, so we don't publish specific dosing, frequency, or cycle numbers here. For compounds we do have vetted protocols on, see the Protocols page.

    Reconstitution Guide

Vial size: See PepPal protocol (not yet available for this peptide) Water volume: See PepPal protocol (not yet available for this peptide) Concentration: See PepPal protocol (not yet available for this peptide) Reconstitution math depends on dosing — and we only publish reconstitution guidance for peptides that have an official PepPal protocol PDF. Check /protocols for vetted protocols.

    Storage Guidelines

Before reconstitution: General peptide guidance: refrigerate or freeze, protect from light. Specific guidance only published for peptides with an official PepPal protocol. After reconstitution: General peptide guidance: refrigerate at 2–8°C. Specific guidance only published for peptides with an official PepPal protocol.

    Half-Life & Stability

Half-life: Not published here — PepPal only publishes detailed pharmacokinetic guidance for peptides covered by an official protocol PDF. Stability: PepPal does not publish a stability/cycling protocol for this peptide. See /protocols for vetted protocols.
